Cosmetic Dentistry

Porcelain laminate veneers

A thin porcelain jacket which is permanently cemented on to the tooth to mask discolored, crooked, broken, chipped or irregularities in the tooth. Veneers are also used to close spaces between the teeth. Veneers can instantly give a youthful "boost" to your smile, without months of orthodontic treatment. They are very strong and will not stain. Just imagine, your new smile in just two visits!

Resin bonding

A tooth colored material which can be utilized to enhance the shape or color of the tooth. It is relatively inexpensive and only requires one visit. Bonding can be used to correct some of the common problems that veneers are used to correct; however, this material is not as strong and will stain.

You can whiten at home with custom made whitening trays or via the revolutionary "Zoom" technique. Teeth will naturally discolor and stain will inevitably build over time. Unfortunately, brushing and over the counter products cannot remove certain stains. We can offer a simple and safe way to brighten your smile.

Restorative Dentistry

Also known as a "cap", it is a process which involves encasing the entire tooth structure when a tooth fractures. Preventatively, crown may be placed to protect a tooth from fracturing when there is insufficient amount of enamel or there is a large filling. It is also commonly placed after root canal treatment. On occasion, crowns are placed to mask a discolored tooth.

This is a procedure which involves the replacement of a missing tooth by anchoring a false tooth to the adjacent teeth — in front and behind the missing area. Therefore, multiple teeth are involved in the process. One or more missing teeth can be replaced with a bridge. A bridge is permanently cemented.

Porcelain inlay or onlay

A porcelain filling which has replaced amalgam or silver filling due to its strong properties. It is tooth colored and custom made to only fit the tooth being treated. It is very durable and does not stain.

Implant Dentistry

Latest in missing tooth replacement which involves placement of a "post" or implant into the jawbone. Once the implant has been fused into the bone (four to six months), an implant crown is custom made to fit the implant. Unlike a bridge, implant does not involve the adjacent teeth and a safe method to replacing missing tooth.

Teeth can be moved into proper position, to correct overbite, crowding and gaps. Orthodontic treatment is recommended to improve function, to prevent fracturing of teeth as a result of improper angulations of the teeth, to improve speech and to help you smile more confidently. Dr. Youn is certified in the orthodontic treatment via Invisalign.
